(They/Them)
Andres joined TUWU because they believe that TUWU not only believes that immigrant workers can lead themselves and take action to achieve dignity, respect, and economic justice, but that TUWU is also intentional about developing the immigrant worker leadership and expanding the skills and tools available to them.
Andres’ hope is that TUWU builds working-class solidarity throughout the state by being a replicable model that develops an active member base leading and pushing for transformative changes at work and in their region.
Andres believes that the fight for dignity, respect, and economic justice will not be isolated from other workers or oppressed people. And that immigrant workers across the state will benefit from the actions member leaders take to uplift all workers and TUWU will be a symbol of hope and unity for people at the margins of our economic system.
